Following significant floods in the late 1990s, LCRA undertook a major flood study of the watershed including updating of the hydraulic and hydrologic models and the regulated floodways.</div> </tD> </tR> <tR> <tD VALIGN=TOP COLSPAN=3 BGCOLOR=#339933 HEIGHT= 16 WIDTH="537"><div> <B>Action</B></div> </tD> </tR> <tR> <tD VALIGN=TOP COLSPAN=3 HEIGHT= 573 WIDTH="537"><div> We aided in developing hydrologic and hydraulic models for the Lower Colorado River watershed. This work included development of GIS-based HEC-HMS models for 21,000 square miles of watershed and development and calibration of HEC-RAS models for 200 miles of river channel. We were also commissioned to analyze the 100-yr floodway for two major river reaches on the Lower Colorado River below Austin. </div> <div> The project provided LCRA with improved hydrologic and hydraulic models for the Lower Colorado River basin and updated floodway extents for the river reaches below Austin.
