Hydrologic engineering services
Hydrologic engineering is a subset of civil and environmental engineering that focuses on applying principles of hydrology to solve problems of design and operation of engineering projects for control and use of water.
Our staff of hydrologic engineers and hydrologists offers our clients a complete range of hydrologic engineering services, including:
Watershed runoff analysis for decision making in planning, regulating, permitting, operating, and warning.
Channel analysis, including water surface elevation computation, bridge analysis, and floodplain delineation.
Sedimentation and erosion analysis.
Statistical analysis, including flood and drought frequency analysis.
Groundwater system modeling and analysis.
Reservoir system simulation and analysis.

Hydrologic engineering portfolio
The greatest value that we offer to our clients is the experience and technical expertise of our staff. Our engineers and scientists have successfully completed hundreds of hydrologic engineering projects worldwide. Recently completed projects include:

Hydrologic engineering tools
With more than 25 years experience in hydrologic engineering, we have "been there...done that" with many hydrologic engineering tools. We are expert users of computer programs developed by the US Army Corps of Engineers, US Geological Survey, Natural Resource Conservation Service (formerly SCS), and the National Weather Service. In fact, we designed and implemented components of some of these models, and we have taught thousands of colleagues how to use many of them.
We also have experience with newer models fielded by public agencies and private enterprise or developed by university researchers. And because our focus is on solving hydrologic engineering problems, rather than on selling software, we have the flexibility to select the proper tool from this big tool kit, rather than letting the tool kit's contents dictate how we answer questions raised. Finally, if tools are not available to provide the necessary information, we will develop specialized tools that will.
