To create the maps, Aviso Mapper uses geographic information system (GIS) tools integrated with hydraulic models. </div> <div> The GIS tools can be ArcView or ArcGIS products from ESRI, or GeoMedia products from Intergraph. </div> <div> Hydraulic models can include those from HEC or others that you may use in open channel flow analyses.</div> </tD> </tR> <tR> <tD VALIGN=TOP BGCOLOR=#339933 HEIGHT= 16 WIDTH="546"><div> <B>How Aviso Mapper works</B></div> </tD> </tR> <tR> <tD VALIGN=TOP HEIGHT= 204 WIDTH="546"><div> AvisoMapper is available in 2 configurations:</div> <div> <IMG BORDER="0" SRC="Symb075c00b700c800000000.png" HEIGHT="13" WIDTH="24" ALIGN="bottom" HSPACE="0" VSPACE="0">The real-time inundation map creation configuration uses the GIS tools and open channel flow models to create a map "on the fly." This ensures that complex flow cases are properly simulated, and it provides users with the opportunity to account for ever-changing conditions in a watershed.  </div> <div> <IMG BORDER="0" SRC="Symb075c00b700c800000000.png" HEIGHT="13" WIDTH="24" ALIGN="bottom" HSPACE="0" VSPACE="0">The map atlas configuration provides emergency responders with maps similar to those available with the real-time configuration.
